What Causes Sore Throat, Runny Nose And Dry Eyes Despite Taking Clarithromycin?

I have been on Clarithromycin 500mg ER for 7 days. I still have a sore throat and now runny nose and my eyes are dry and slightly red. Should I be concerned? I have 3 days left on the antibiotic. Dr at walk in clinic said I had a sinus infection but I was congested, no coughing and no sinus headache. Should I be concerned?

You may have an allergic sinus reaction. It causes the above symptoms even in absence of infection. It causes the above symptoms like sore throat, redness of eyes. U need to take a Fluticasone nasal spray 2 puff twice daily x 1 month. Start taking an antiallergic tablet levocetrizine 5 mg 1 tablet at bedtime for 3 week. Avoid those things which causes allergy.
