General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I have gone through your question and understand your concern. It appears to be like you are suffering with chronic tonsillitis. Recurrent episodes of sore throat and post nasal drip is a symptom of chronic infection. Due to recurrent infections, tonsils which are pink in actual appear yellowish when the crypts are filled with pus. Consult a ENT specialist as you may need oral antibiotics and possibly tonsillectomy after the infection subsides.
The best way you can avoid recurrent infections is taking antibiotics when tonsils get infected and keeping oral hygiene by brushing twice a day to keep mouth free from bits of food. Salt water gargle also help in keeping oral hygiene in long run. Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
