What Causes Sore Throat, Lump In Armpit And Fever?

I have been getting a sore throat and slight fever in late afternoon. Eyes are sensitive to light. I found a lump in left arm pit three days afo. I can move it. It is tender and you can see it so it is not deep. Of course I am concerned and have an appt. this week. Can you provide me with some possible reasons for this as I am concerned regarding cancer.

First of all I will say no need to think about cancer because your lump is tender and painful which is not possible in case of cancer. It is most probably due to infection of lymph node or any gland. For treatment you can take some antibiotic preferably azithromycin or cefadroxyl after an expert opinion along with combiflam or calpol for fever and tenderness. For sore throat you can take any cough syrup like bro-zedex or asthakind as it will give soothing effect to your throat. Do warm water gargles and take steam inhalation.
