What Causes Sore Throat, Cough And Tingling Tongue With Red Spots?

I swallowed something in my take away and I m not sure it was food or not.since then I have had a sore throat,cough,tingly tongue with red spots on end and round the sides,Also under my tongue to the side is like red veins and a long purple vein.There is also a very horrible looking deep red vein at the back of my tongue,does this mean I have had a reaction or something to what I have swallowed?I m worried.There is also a yellow bump at the back of my throat.

Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns. You recently swallowed something and this cause some irritation to your throat. The symptoms and physical findings you mention are not worrisome. i think you just irritated the back of your throat. I recommend using salt water gargles to sooth the back of the throat. You do no need to do any additional doctor visits or treatments. Your symptoms will resolve in the next day or two
