have you ever seen a sinus scab? For several years, I have been getting scab like formations in my lower sinus area. These scabs cause symptoms similar to strep throat - sore throat, fever, enlarged/painful lymphnodes, congestion and drainage, but no vomiting; when tested for strep by my pcp, the test is always negative. The scabs form on the soft sinus area where the tonsils rest. When I remove the scabs by sucking/snorting and coughing them out, the symptoms disappear within 12 hours. I have a picture of the one that came out this morning about the size of a quarter. MY ENT whom I saw this morning said it was a loogie but only glanced at the picture. She prescribed me Augmenting saying I had a bacterial infection without even doing a swab of my sinuses so I am leary of taking this medication and I want answers. living with this over and over again is getting tiring.
