What Causes Sore Throat Along With Chronic Cough?

I have a sore throat and my cough is very productive. I am coughing up brown stuff from my mouth. Could this be the sx of bronchitis??? (I am not a doctor and I am not self diagnosing myself). if it is bronchitis....should I go to the ER room??? or to my PCP doctor and to get a RX for Bactrim DS??? What should I do...(by the way I get bronchitis every year at this time

get it examined by pulmunologist for clinical examination of lungs field do not decide or suggest medication let treating doctor suggested treatment you need benadryl expectorant can also take bronchodyl. consult your pcpthat you goto rpcp for examination and advise on treatment.
