What Causes Sore Cracks Inside The Lips While Suffering From Thrush?

I have just been treated for thrush. Every time I take the oral tablet and it works, I suffer from tiny sore cracks on the inside of my outer lips. As if the skin has cracked. Is this normal? I use the cream provided to sooth the external itch, but this never helps.Hope you can help

Hi...
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain it seems like you have a side effect to the anti-fungal medication given to you for treatment of thrush and it is only leading to dryness and cracking of your lips..
You should not worry as when the intake of medicine will be stopped the condition will improve..
Yo can apply a thick coat of petroleum jelly and do cold compresses over the lips for relief..
Drink plenty of water..
You should also get a proper evaluation for the cause of thrush and get treated properly so that it does not reoccur and you need not to take antifungal medicines..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
