I have had a sore and tender throat over night however it is only in the left side, when I woke up I had a look to see if there was any swelling of my tonsils and have noticed that on the side in which is hurting the tonsil is a black/purple colour. Do you have any idea what this could be? I have contacted my local GP however they have no appointments available, should I be worried is this an emergency?
