What Causes Sore And Swollen Throat?

I m 22 weeks pregnant and have a really bad sore and swollen throat along with thick saliva. I m just wondering if i should go into the er or not. It s getting really difficult to swallow and I feel like I m about to start choking because i cant swallow.

Even if you were not pregnant, I would have you go to the ER. This would the recommendation for anyone where there is concern about your airway and ability, or not, to swallow. While this likely represents strep throat, you need to get checked out as soon as possible.
