What Causes Sneezing After Receiving Nasal Oxygen?

Headache, sneezing, nasal/sinus congestion after nasal oxygen and propothol (?) after a colonoscopy. Have had many colonoscopies in the past, but never had this as an issue. Also, took much longer to get out of a fog this time. Was the level of nasal oxygen too high? New anesthetist, I think.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Check for is it oxygen or not or somebody used it or not? Also check for drug allergy or not. I have seen few patients who are taking Tinidazole suddenly developed allergy to it. Like that you may develop allergy Propofol etc. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet Levocetirizine twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
