What Causes Small Rashes On The Stomach And Neck In A Baby?

Hi, My infant daughter is 3 months old and has been crying bitterly - this isn t the regular cry. She s been doing it all day with breaks in between until she is tired and has fallen asleep where we have done our best to feed her (90 ml NAN HA formula). The doctor prescribed Atarax drops (3 times a day) since she has a rash like condition on her stomach and around her neck. We have also applied a calamine lotion based on the doctors advice. It has helped slightly but we don t know if she s also feeling a colic pain since she pulls her knees towards herself. We are really feeling helpless as this has been on for two days now. Do allergies take that long to disappear? Is it only an allergy? How can we tell if there might be a ear infection too (as she keep reaching out for the right side of her head just above the ear)?
