What Causes Small Lump Beside The Navel?
Hello, last night I discovered a small pea sized lump about 2 inches from my belly button on my right side. It isn t noticeable until I apply pressure to it and I can tell that it is hardened and it seems to be unmovable. I ve never noticed this before. Today, It s been weighing heavy on my mind and possibly making me a tad nauseous and light headed. I doubt that this is from the lump, but it has me very nervous because I m not insured, thus I can t see any medical professional at the current time. Any idea what this could be?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have small lump beside the navel. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like appendicitis , consuming foods known to cause gas in some people, such as milk products that contain lactose, broccoli , crohn’s disease , gastroenteritis , irritable bowel syndrome or urinary tract infection . Food allergy can also be one of the factor . Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain. I would suggest you to avoid above mentioned foods , eat light and non spicy specially at night , take light walk after every meal , eat small and frequent meals .If condition doesn't get well then consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound , endoscopy along with stool test and physical examination to chesck the consistency . Doctor may prescribe ornidazole , omeprazole , laxative , anti inflammatory along with antacids . Doctor may also refer you to general surgeon .
