What Causes Small Itchy Rashes Like Bumps On Face?
My daughter had an allergic reaction to something on her face a couple days ago, now she has a tiny rash like bumps on her forehead, part of her nose and her chin. They are not red and you can only see it up close. Sometimes she says it itches. What is it and what should I do about it?
As per your query your daughter have small itchy rashes like bumps on face. Bumps you mention occur due to many reasons like excessive sun exposure or allergy . The other reason of red bumps can be a skin infection. Need not to worry. You should use face wash containing salicylic acid and apply kojic acid cream twice a day after washing face . Use sunscreen with SPF 15 while in exposure to sun to prevent skin from excessive sun damage. Exfoliate facial skin once a week to remove dead skin. Apply aloe vera gel at night .Drink plenty of fluids and water to hydrate yourself. Give cold compresses for itchiness. If condition persist even after month then consult dermatologist . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , antiviral , steroid drugs or isotretinoin.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
