What Causes Small Bumps On The Fingertips?

My nail has looked weird for about a week. The white part has started to grow into the pink part. It looks almost spiky with uneven waves. After the white part, there is a redish part before the rest of the pink. Also, there are small bumps on the fingertip. I have pictures but don t know how to provide them on this service. I m wondering what is happening?
