What Causes Slight Greyish Haze In Vision Post Laser Cataract Surgery?

Thank you doc. My wife had cataract surgery on her right eye 3 years ago and her sight on that eye is perfect. She recently had laser cataract surgery on her left eye. Although the eye sight on her recently operated eye is close to 20/20 (just slightly off), my wife complains that there is a slight greyish haze, and is visible when she closes her good eye. Also the size of the images on the left eye is about 15% smaller, with the perfect eye closed. Her Ophthalmologist ( a fantastic surgeon) saw her about 4 times over 6 weeks after the surgery. He also told her to continue her drops. The picture on the back of the eye is also perfect. He sais lets see if it settles in a few months, and the next appointment is in December 2016. she drives and all is OK except for the things mentioned above. The doc also assured her that the lens implanted is correct. What is you take on this doc? Thank you.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,

Get a fully dilated retinal exam done. This doesn't look like a problem with the lens.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Ophthalmologist
