What Causes Slight Cramping And Brown Discharge During Pregnancy?

Hi, i found out i was pregnant 2 weeks ago. I worked out online how far gone i was going off the date of my last period and if it is right im around 6 weeks, ive had slight cramping throughout and yesterday i had some brown discharge, not alot just a little bit. There isnt anything in my underwear, just when i wipe. Could this be the start of a misscarriage?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Abdominal cramping with brown discharge can be a sign of early miscarriage but sometimes it can be due to placenta previa. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a Gynae you may need urgent medical care, medicines & support.

Get USG(Uterus) done to confirm the well being of the developing fetus & detect the position of the placenta. Avoiding doing any heavy work or lift heavy weight. Stay at rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
