What Causes Sleepiness In A Diabetic While On Atarax?

HI, I VE BEEN TAKING ATARAX [10mg] EACH NIGHT TO KEEP A SERIOUS ANGIONEUROTICAEDEMA AT BAY....THE ONLY THING THAT WORKED MIRACULOUSLY.....HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR 5 OR 6 YEARS. MORE RECENTLY IT [OR SOMETHING] IS GIVING ME DAYS WHERE I AM VERY DROWSY.....CAN SLEEP MOST OF THE DAY IF NOTHING INTERESTING TO DO [I M RETIRED] 71 YEARS OF AGE AT NIGHT I USUALLY DRINK 2 OR 3 QUITE STIFF WHISKIES AND COKE [DIET] AS I M DIABETIC [TYPE 2] BUT DO USE INSULIN HOW CAN I PREVENT THE SLEEPYNESS....?? Atarax is, in fact, a medicine that CAUSES SLEEPYNESS.

That is to say, that effect is practically unavoidable. So better take it at night time.

I´m sure there are other causes and treatments available to manage your angioneuroticaedema.
