What Causes Skin Tag At The Top Of Anus?

I have what appears to be a skin tag at the top part of my anus, the perianal skin. It is skin colored and feels like a pea sized lump, maybe a little smaller, within the skin. When I feel of it, it moves a bit and slightly changes shape at the pressure of my touch. No real pain is associated with it, unless I put a lot of pressure on it in the form of a pinch. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it something that can be left alone?
