What Causes Shoulder Pain?

What causes a nasty pain in shoulder (very tight!), goes down elbow (both sides) gets more painful in the wrist and hurts the hand. There is a rise in palm as it reaches the wrist that is not present on the right hand. I do not play tennis or golf. Do use the computer a fair amount. However, that has been reduced a lot recently.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to nerve compression at cervical level.

For that you may require MRI neck, nerve conduction studies after spine surgeon.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

You may require tablet pregabalin and multivitamin after consultation.

Continue physical therapy.

Avoid long sitting job.

Hope I have answered your query...
Let me know if I can assist you further.
