My Doctor had me on Lipitor and Glipizide for Diabetes and chloestrol, I started having muscle pain in my shoulders down to my elbows, both arms, I stopped taking the Lipitor because a friend said he had muscle pain when he took it, I told my doctor that I stopped and why and he got upset with me. The pain eased a little but then stated getting worse. I go to the doctor every 3 months and when I went back I told my Doctor how bad the pain was, it s like my muscles are ripping apart when I extend my arms or move them a certain way. I cannot sleep at night because the pain is so bad, it s constant, I might get 2-3 hours a night at about 30 minutes at a time because i m so tired but the pain wakes me up. I cannot pick anything up without excruciating pain, it litterally feels like my muscles are tearing apart. I explained this to my Doctor again and he got upset, I told him it was a side effect of the Glipizide and he said he s never heard of that in 40 years He is trying to tell me I have Fibromyalgia, the symptoms are not the same from everything I have read about it. The Doctor asked me if I wanted pain pills, I said I don t want to mask the problem, something is wrong, needless to say he is not helping me and I need advice, what can I do?? thanks, Ken.
