1. Firstly, your major complain is breathlessness which can be caused by multiple causes. However the likelihood of a cause is when it has associated features. For eg
Heart -
dyspnea is generally exertional, a/w
chest pain, palpitations, swelling of feet or a feeling of weakness and
fatigue Lung - dyspnea is accompanied by wheeze,
cough with sputum, h/o smoking, family h/o asthma or a personal h/o allergies
Anemia can also manifest as dyspnea
Now, coming to your case, on the basis of details that you have given, I would recommend the following tests with a 99 percent probability that we would be able to reach a reasonable diagnosis with this battery of tests
1. Complete blood count
2.
Spirometry (pre and post bronchodilatation) with DLCO
3. 2D Echo
4. Ser creatinine
