What Causes Shortness Of Breathing And Panic Attack While On Albuterol?

I am a 24 year old female. Im 185 lbs and 5 6 . I have never had allergies or asthma. about six months ago sept. 2016 I started having shortness of breath wheezing and the feeling that my air wasn t catching. I have sudden sharp pains thar feel like something wanting to burst in my lungs when I breathe in that double me over. I also have noticed my heart feels like its beating very hard and sometimes feels like it forgets a beat. I immediately quit smoking cold turkey and drinking energy drinks. I used to be a pack and a half a day smoker and drink about 3 energy drinks a day since 15. The ER diagnosed me with a panic attack which I knew was wrong as I was no breathless from panic I was panicked from breathlessness. I then made an aptmt and the doctor heard the wheezing and diagnosed me with walking pneumonia. She gave me antibiotics and albuterol which did nothing. My sputum test came back normal even though it is black and brown gelatinous and sticky. And so did my 2 chest xrays. We have no pulmonologists or respiratory therapists in my town. I made another aptmt and asked my doctor about chlamydial pneumonia NOT THE STD.Turns out he was a physician assistant, had to google what it was and then gave me hydroxicycline mono and more albuterol which im currently on. Still no relief at all. Im worried I have PF or COPD and have had a miscarriage from coughing and so depressed the last 6 months because i cant think or focus on anything. I constantly feel like im just catching my breath like the edges of my lungs aren t getting any oxygen. Its noticeable when I try to have a conversation, eat or drink, or do anything. Its ruining my life but idk what it is and I dont know what tests to ask for. When I asked about copd the first cpl months it started I was told a 23 year old could get hit by a truck and be ok and that I was too young for anything irreversible I was just stressed. I am terrified of having chronic adult onset asthma or other copd or aomething irreversible. Im worried that even if it was reversible to begin with after 6 months of being put on my clinics merry go round with no diagnosis its probobly irreversible now. Which I try not to think. What does this sound like? What are the chances it is a curable issue? What tests should I ask for? Could the energy drinks have caused heart damage? Please theres literally no lung doctors I this town and im scared and need help

Dear lady.. I appreciate the detailed summary that you have given. Before advising you with the right investigations there are a few observations i would like you to read
1. Firstly, your major complain is breathlessness which can be caused by multiple causes. However the likelihood of a cause is when it has associated features. For eg
Heart - dyspnea is generally exertional, a/w chest pain, palpitations, swelling of feet or a feeling of weakness and fatigue
Lung - dyspnea is accompanied by wheeze, cough with sputum, h/o smoking, family h/o asthma or a personal h/o allergies
Anemia can also manifest as dyspnea
Now, coming to your case, on the basis of details that you have given, I would recommend the following tests with a 99 percent probability that we would be able to reach a reasonable diagnosis with this battery of tests
1. Complete blood count
2. Spirometry (pre and post bronchodilatation) with DLCO
3. 2D Echo
4. Ser creatinine
Pl feel free to get back for any further query or with test results.
Thanks
