What Causes Shortness Of Breath While Suffering From Congestive Heart Failure?
I have Cong. Hrt. Disease. Aorta valve replaced two years ago. Complications, A. trib, lung failure. Heart has not recovered from enlargement and damage. Take Lasix,40 mg one day and 80 mg. the next. So short of breathe. Nearly 83 yrs. old. Is there new Meds.? Youngest of eleven and the only one with this. Worst is using arms. Not depressed and have high hopes for my life.

Breathlessness can happen with congestive cardiac failure because heart is not able to pump the blood and there will be pooling of blood in lungs.
If symptoms are severe you can consult a physician and get evaluated.
