What Causes Shortness Of Breath Post Pacemaker Insertion?

I had to have a pacemaker as I was getting ablation for AFlutter. I was never short of breath until i had these procedures. My oxygen is always fine but I am short of breath after minor tasks. I am female and 66 years old. The procedures were done two years ago. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Shortness of breath with exercise warrants an examination of our lungs and heart. In this case, I would advise you to talk to your doctor and possibly have at least an ECG, heart ultrasound, CBC, and a chest X-ray.
After the test results, the doctor will be able to determine the cause and possible needed treatments.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
