What Causes Short Term Memory Loss And Paranoia While On Eliquis?

I m taking Eliquis twice daily, since 2014 when I had a cardiac bypass. I have experienced cognitive difficulties (short term memory loss, mood changes, paranoia, etc), and lately I feel like these symptoms are caused by too much medication, especially too much Eliquis. What s your opinion?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per your clinical history is concerned, do take medication [Eliquis] as per your Doctor's advice and it is required for you after cardiac bypass and it has no such side effects as mentioned. The problem which you have mentioned has many pathological causes so visit your Doctor [Neurologist] for a detailed clinical examination now and do MRI scan to confirm the exact cause of your problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo,
