What Causes Short And Painful Inter Menstrual Bleeding?

I am two years into my second Mirena. I am 36 and got the first one at age 30. I had spotting and no periods until about 6 months ago. My doctor put me on an extra birth control for a month to regulate. This month I have had three short periods painful cramps and bright blood to red orange to regular color! I went to make an appointment but the sr office said I have a yearly in one month to come then. Should I wait till then or go earlier. The craps have been terrible.... I recently changed my diet and have been exceeding and have lost 20 pounds . What should I do?

Hi, I think you should consult your doctor if cramps are severe. Get a pelvic examination done. It can happen sometimes, but infection should be ruled out. Hope it helps.
