What Causes Shooting Pain In The Arms And Legs After Taking Levofloxacin?
In late december i had a welding rod go through my inner and outer ear drum into my nasal cavity. I finished work and drove home. The next day i had some fluid leaking out of my ear and some serious pain through out the night. My wife took me to the E.R . After some blood work and a MRI scan. The DR on duty prescribed me a antibiotic that i had never heard of called LEVOFLOXACIN. I took a two week dose of levofloxacin from 01/01/2017 to 01/14/2017. within a few days of taking these pills i began to have shooting pains in my arms and legs. Within a month after taking LEVOFLOXACIN \my arms and legs started having shooting pains and loss of muscle. I was able to lay low and not work a couple of months and the pains became less bothersome. Two weeks ago i went back to work clearing trees off property. Now i am having pains between my shoulder blades and all up and down my back. These pains are severe. Like a pinched nerve As well as the dull pains in my arms and legs. I think that those LEVOFLOXACIN pills have done something bad to body. what can i do to
Though shooting pain in arms and legs is not a common side effect of Levofloxacin, here in this instance, I think there are likely disturbances of electrolytes or mitochondrial pathway or metabolites.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
