What Causes Shivering Hands And Profuse Sweating In A Hypertensive Person?

My brother is 50 and does not look well. He has been saying it is his blood pressure medication. He hasn t been taking them for several months but still has the same symptoms. He claims that he is not drinking or doing drugs but I am not sure. My family is very concerned. Symptoms: shaking hands, sweating profusely at times, telling the same story repeatedly, not eating much, irregular sleep, not doing ANY work/maintenance around the house, goosebumps when it is hot and muggy. These symptoms are almost continuous. Any thoughts?

Hello,

Yes, He might be taking some illicit drug or these symptoms might be due to his underlying thyroid illness as well. I suggest you visit a doctor for his proper checkup and some blood tests as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
