What Causes Shivering And Fever After Extraction Of Wisdom Teeth?

Hello, I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted Wednesday June 22. It is now Tuesday June 28th and I am constantly getting shivers / a feverish feeling then falling asleep for several hours. Once I wake up the shivers are gone and I feel normal but also weak. There is no pain in my mouth and the shaking has been going on since Sunday June 25th approximately 1-2 times in a day.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of sudden outburst of shivering is not due to tooth extraction, however it can be due to side effects of medicine like antibiotics that must be given to you post extraction to prevent infection..
It can also be due to other causes that can be unrelated to your dental history..
I would suggest you to consult a General Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done according to the cause diagnosed..
In case of medicinal side effect the symptoms will resolve gradually as the drug wean off from the body..
If it is due to some other causes it will be treated as per diagnosis..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
