What Causes Sharp Pains During Urination?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...i have these sharp pains when i pee. The pain goes from my bellybutton down towards my vagina, but only halfway down my stomach. It feels like i m trying to pee my bellybutton out or something, like it s being pulled out my stomach. Sometimes I struggle to stand up because the pain is like a rope that tightened my bellybutton to my lower body. Its highly annoying and really painful...but what could it be?

Hello,

I think you may be suffering from urinary tract infection.
You may need to do a urine analysis and uroculture to check for infection.
Taking the right antibiotic which comes from uroculture is advisable.
I could have treated you empirically with Bactrim.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
