What Causes Sharp Pain While Urinating?

I had stinging when I urinated. On Monday night I tried but was very slow. About 30 minutes later I had to go again. Part way through it seem to pop and there was a little blood but the stream was strong. Since then it seems to be back to normal. Was this a kidney stone? I am out of town from my regular doctors.

Hi thanks for asking question.
According to history here it seems to be stone in lower urinary tract.
Whenever stone obstruct pathway at that time pain with bleeding can occur.
X ray and USG helpful for its detection..

Meanwhile get your urine examined for pus cells if present UTI can be cause.Antibiotic needed for it...

If repeated such problem occur then search for prostate abnormality done with USG and rectal palpation...

Take care.
