Hello Doctor, I have some very mysteries symptoms. For the past couple of years now and than I have a sharp shooting pain starting from my left front side which travels down with the pain (feels like an ice pick kind of pain) appearing to be in my labia. That pain leaves as fast as it comes on. Than the pain will remain in my left side and very in intensity of pain. Now for the past 5 days the pain has not only been in the front, but also my back and the pain is much more painful in the idle stage and will again from time to time have the sharp shooting pain traveling down. I also have a warm feeling that pass through the left side from time to time along with a cold feeling in the same manner. I am a 56 female with no uterus. This has been the longest period of these symptoms to date. I went to the ER today, but there was a waiting time of 3 hours. I took a Duexus which dulled the symptoms for a few hours, but they are returning again. Could this be diverticulitis?
