What Causes Sharp Pain In The Sternum Area?
I ve recently had sharp pain in my sternum, and a fluttering at the base of my neck (in my throat). Also a few instances of cold sweats in a cold environment. Just FYI, I recently quit smoking after 30 years. I m also at least 60lbs overweight (working on that)

It is better to visit your physician as early as possible to rule out a cardiac problem; since u had symptoms like chest pain and sweating; have some of the risk factors, like overweight, past h/o smoking etc.
Other possibilities could be anxiety, gastritis/acidity, thyroid disorders.
