What Causes Sharp Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

I experience a sharp pain in my liver area from time to time. It comes and then goes quickly. the stings of pain do not last very long but can come several times back to back. it is a sharp feeling so it can be uncomfortable. I am hoping that these could be gas pains. I have had my gall bladder removed several years ago. perhaps that could also have something to do with it?

Hi welcome to the health care magic

You are having pain in liver area, it can be from gas or chronic indigestion induced pain

But as pain is sharp and in right hypochondrium i would suggest you to investigate with USG abdomen to rule out fatty liver, any residual stone in biliary tract, kidney stone causing referred pain etc like cause

If specific cause found than treated accordingly

Otherwise for indigestion you can prescribed pantoprazole and simethicone containing syrup like medication

Consume more fruits and vegetables

Avoid excess spicy foods and fatty meals for few days

Take care

Hope your concern solved

Consult physician for examination
