What Causes Sharp Pain In The Chest And Bleeding Nose?

Hi couple days ago in the morning I drinked water and felt sharp pain in the chest. Last think I remember ending up on the floor with my nose bleed ( I fainted). After a lot of tests in emergency I still don t know why. I want to know what can couse it and preventing from happen again

Welcome to HCM,

Understanding your concern.As per your query you have csharp pain in the chest and bleeding nose . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms can occur due two reasons like acid reflux disease , which occur due to dysfunction of esophageal sphincter . It allow the acidic content to come upward , heart disease like angina and heart attack , brain tumor , hypertension or bleeding disorder.I would like to suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ECG , TMT , complete blood profile and sometimes angiography . Doctor may prescribe betablockers and calcium channel blockers along with nitroglycerine . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for problem like nasal polyp . For now avoid eating spicy and heavy food , do not exert your body , apply cold compresses on nose and take proper rest .
