Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that there is either a
tonsil stone if it is on the tonsil or a small pustule present at the back of throat and the mucosa around it is inflamed leading to pain on touching with a q-tip..
In case if it is not being removed with a q tip it does not seems to be due to popcorm particle..
Nothing to worry, as of now you can gargle with warm saline solution.
Take
Ibuprofen for pain..
Avoid hard and spicy foods..
Drink plenty of water..
In case if it still doen not improve in 2 to 3 days of if the symptoms worsen consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated..
In case of tonsil stone or piece of popcorn manual removal using a tweezer will help..
In case of pustule a short course of antibiotics and anti -inflammatory medicine and warm saline gargles will relieve..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
