What Causes Sharp Burning Sensation In The Chest Upon Intake Of Mucinex?
Hi I had bought a generic brand of mucinex from my local drug store. Recently after have taking it I get like a sharp/burning sensation in my chest and stomach! Kind of similar to the feeling of chowing down on a really good meal with out a break can you tell me what is the cause of that
Your symptoms seem to be related to gastroesophageal reflux disease. I suggest you use an antacid such as Maloox. I also recommend using Pantoprazole in the morning before breakfast to lower the acidity in the stomach.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
