What Causes Severe Wheezing And Cough?

i was diagnosed thurs night with asthma with acute exacerbation and had a breathing treatment a steroid shot and felt better friday until evening then the wheezing started the entire night louder then I have ever had. Today the cough is back and now the wheezing again I am taking medrol dose pack and a Z pak also have cough med with codeine Help

You are suffering from acute asthma exacerbation..

I need to know your CBC report and spirometry if done for further comment

You are just now on best anti-inflammatory drug that is methyprednisolone, so complete all prescribed medication for 5 to 7 days as per prescribed duration

If your asthma not improving then nebulization with levosalbutamol and budesonide can be done for two times a day for three days

After Symptomatic relief you are advised to consult allergy specialist to investigate with allergy testing like patch test to found source of allergen

Daily take peak flow reading at home by using peak flow meter to monitor disease severity
