What Causes Severe Weakness After Taking Seroquel?

My mother has dementia, on yesterday, her doctor prescription Seroquel. She took her first dose last night. Today she said she will weak and can barely walk and is in the bed, which is not normal for her. Should I give she one more dose tonight or just stop until I can talk to her doctor?

Hi,

Seroquel can cause sedation and orthostatic hypotension especially in elderly. I would recommend that ask her to use walker and be with her when she walks as she has high chances of falling down. I would recommend discussing these side effects with your doctors and possibly try some other medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
