Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Trembling In Legs When Sitting After Working Out?
My friend has been working out with me for the past couple of days. She says that every time she sits her legs start to tremble. Now although I m pretty sure she s fine and this is happening because she s using muscles she hasn t used in a long time I got a little nervous wondering if i am overworking her. What would you suggest? Should i just tell her to stretch?
Sometimes after an intense workout, the nervous system which causes your muscles to contract becomes fatigued causing your muscles to tremble.
Since quivering means that your muscles are hard at work, you just want to be careful not to overdo it.
Suggest her to increase fluid intake by drinking drinks that contain electrolytes and sugar in low dosages to keep her muscles hydrated and supplied with the nutrients needed to keep muscles working.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
