Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your daughter's problem can be most likely due to sprain or strain. It will give pain and swelling for some days. Ice pack application will be good. You can apply on and off for 15 to 20 minutes. This can be repeated 3 to 4 times daily also. Mild compression bandage is also good. You should also elevate the legs to relieve swelling. NSAIDs like ibuprofen and Seratiopeptidase will be helpful for pain and swelling also. If still there is no improvement and increasing in pain then approach an orthopedician to rule out any missed injury. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
