I have had a productive cough for 2 weeks and a sore tongue for about a week (no fever). Went to the doctors and they gave me a cough medicine in a pill and amoxicillin. I have a severe sore throat and it has lasted 6 days. I thought it was getting better but yesterday I was coughing so hard that my throat now feels broken . It hurts to talk, swallow, and even when I am not doing anything. I have been drinking hot tea all morning but it isn t helping. The back of my tongue feels sore and I can feel bumps when I put my finger back there and my throat feels like there is something stuck but not so bad that it is effecting my breathing - it just hurts really bad!
