What Causes Severe Right Sided Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea?
My 14 old daughter has severe right sided abdominal pain low down, diarrohoea , feels sick but no vomiting, my first thought appendix. I took her to gp, they referred to a&e, they did scan & bloods, no definite diagnosis n examination surgeon said pain is directly over appendix area. Could be a gyneacologly problem or glands. If worse come back, been back twice pain getting worse.

Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like gastroenteritis , food poisoning , irritable bowel syndrome , lactose intolerance , giardiasis or intestinal Ileus . For now eat light and non spicy , avoid food like seafood and nuts , take antacid after every meal and keep your head elevated while lying down. You should avoid intake of sharp and spicy food substances. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test , ultrasound , endoscopy along with that take history . Doctor may prescribe laxative , ornidazole or albendazole along with ranitidine . Take one spoon of honey .
