Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 61 year old female. For several weeks now, upon sitting at my desk for several hours and then walking 50 feet or so, to the copier or the restroom, the top of my head feels like it is going to explode. This happens 3 to 6 times per day and they last about 10 seconds each. I called my primary care doctor and she sent me to the emergency room. They did a CT scan and said everything looked structurally sound and to follow up with my doctor. That was on February 24. I have been trying to see her but have not been able to get an appt. the episodes have lessened in intensity but are still happening.
Abnormal or severe head pressure is sometimes a sign of a serious medical condition, such as a brain tumor or an aneurysm. However, these problems are rare.
