What Causes Severe Painful And Burning Bump On Head Post A Hysterectomy?
I just had a hysterectomy this morning and everything was fine until this afternoon that I felt some pain on certain area of my head. I touched it and I have a bump. I have not bumped my head on anything. The pain feels more like nerve pain than a bruise, I will say is a burning-pain. I told the nurse like 3 hours ago and she told me that the doctor is going to come and check. I am on pain medication, however this pain doesn t go away, I am concern. Any ideas of what it can be?
dear patient.is the bump solid or compressible.if its solid then bony you might have got bumped unknowingly.but if its soft then probably it may be due to compression of nerves in the back of the neck due to lying for long time during operation.and also leading to swelling. i recommend you to keep your head high level and avoid touching the area.the pain will pass off in a couple of hours. dr.mir osman ali
