What Causes Severe Pain Under The Left Shoulder Blade?

I have severe pain under my left shoulder blade in the back. I went to the ER 4 days ago and was tested for heart attack or blood clots. Both were negative. They gave me a muscle relaxer. The pain does not seem to be letting up. What can I it do for it?

ok well,pain may b due any truma,any nutrient deficiency or any trapeius muscle tear..so let me know do u have any truma history??so would u do some rest and apply massage with some analgesic ointment especially at night..If this pain is associated with abdominal pain more at right side,then it might b some pancreatic or gallbladder pathology..
