What Causes Severe Pain On Swallowing After A Dental Filling?
Hi I visited the dentist on Wednesday and had a large filling since then I have severe pain on swallowing. I had a cold and cough prior to the visit. Went to doctors Thursday night and got antibiotics to try and get better but is now Saturday and my throat is no better. Feels like I have a lump in my throat and really hurts when I swallow and extremely painful when eating. Very worried please help.
I have gone through your query regarding severe pain on swallowing, this all happen after a dental filling. You have visited doctor for the same and he prescribed you antibiotic but even you are feeling as there is a lump in throat and swallowing is still painful.
According to your symptoms two possibilities are there-
2- There may be some apical residual pathology which is creating problem after filling.
So I will recmond you to reconsult your doctor he will rule out the matter by taking x-ray of the tooth concern and will also examine your throat to rule out any swelling there and finally treatment may be plan.
Regards.
