What Causes Severe Pain In The Sternum And Shoulders After An Injury?
Hi there, i was involved in a head on crash 2 months ago. And i have had sharp pains in the rotator cuff area and mainly across the pecs on left hand side. Painful to touch around sternum up to shoulder.and under armpit. i originally had swollen chest from impact but xrays showed no fractures or tears to theshoulder. i am still waiting to see an orthepedic surgeon. Can you suggest what this pain is from?

Injury in pectoralis major muscle is causing pain. Pectoralis major muscle originates from the lateral border of the sternum and inserted in the shoulder region. Muscle injury pain always presents Ted like that.
