Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 77 year old mom recently under went eye surgery for glaucoma over the last three weeks. Since then she has declined in health. She stated she bruised her ribs on the left side and was hurting severely. X-rays showed no broken ribs and cat scan showed nothing abnormal and blood and urine work came back normal except for a urinary tract infection. In the last week she has not been wanting to drink or eat. She does not want to move saying it hurts . She forgets that she was taken pain pills and will ask for more even if it has only been an hour. She has also declined in the ability to care for herself and hygiene. After several trips to the emergency room and being told that there is nothing physically wrong - we are at a loss as to what else could be going on or who we should consult.
Most probably it will be due to conditions like costochondritis. As of now you can use analgesics/anti inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
