What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Back?

I am a 70 year old female status post lumbar fusion now with adjacent segment disease and flat back syndrome experiencing low back pain. My physiatrist has prescribed Suldinac to take in conjunction with Percocet. I have a history of a bleeding gastric ulcer in my 20s with no subsequent issues. I m not sure if adding this medication is safe and would like another opinion. Thank you.

Hi,

If you have a bleeding ulcer once, then using sulindac for long-term need special care. If you need to use it, I would say you should continue only with an anti-ulcer drug like proton pump inhibitors. So better to take an anti-ulcer drug with it so to be very safe.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
