What Causes Severe Pain In The Joints Along With Low Grade Fever?

I have been having episodes of terrible pain off and on for 18 months. I ve been to 3 different doctors. My symptoms are as follows . .bone and joint pain, all over, low grade fevers, hair falling out, exhausted all the time, rash on both arms that comes and goes with the pain, periods of vertigo with the pain, confusion with the pain, mood swings with the pain. Ears ringing, problems walking/ moving without pain....it will ease up if I get rest but then comes back. I m at a loss as to what to do or who to see. Any suggestions will be appreciated .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You may want to consider seeing a rheumatologist. These are specialists that deal with diseases of the bones and joints.

In many cases, this type of pain may be related to systemic diseases such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis or any of the autoimmune conditions.

History, examination and blood, would be helpful in diagnosing the exact problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
